CIRAS provides a variety of engineering services including product development assistance, materials engineering, and digital design optimization.

Food Manufacturing Technology
The Center for Crops Utilization Research (CCUR) at Iowa State University has over 14,000 square feet of pilot plant processing and 50 affiliated faculty to help develop new food and feed technologies.
Testing
CIRAS provides Iowa manufacturers access to dozens of testing facilities at Iowa State University and Ames Laboratory.
Iowa sets itself apart as being one of the few states to offer a refundable research activities tax credit. Research may include manufacturing process improvements and time spent by engineers, management and other employees designing and testing new manufacturing processes.
